A.C. Sarahuaro Foundation taught their community action workshops in Colonia Tierra y Libertad located northwest of Cabo San Lucas. Colonies is one of the most critical sanluqueña community due to lack of services and infrastructure. There are 600 lots that are home to over 1000 families. 50% of the lots have water but no drainage. There is light in some areas, the streets are not paved but we have worked hard in the colony to encourage families to own their space and through our workshops are free to know their capabilities and become integrated generating their own families life choices and also be productive to contribute to household expenses. We currently work with approximately 160 families who bring their babies, children and teenagers to take also the workshops we teach in order to achieve family unity, productive and stable. Working directly with the community has given us a great opportunity to learn about the problems afflicting the colony and their own families and this has given us the pattern to teach the workshops to date are held every morning in Sarahuaro 9.30 am to 2 pm and to work jointly with other institutions of public and private sector to join forces and make this project a way of daily life for the community. Women who attend our workshops, we have shown that not bow to adversity and courage are always ahead so we are confident that together with effort and commitment we have made a strong institution, a long-term, vision, principles and values, self-esteem, self-esteem and courage that will stand above all and will make Sarahuaro conquers through his teaching at the 1000 families in the Colonia Tierra y Libertad and contribute socially to achieve a better Mexico.
